Bug reports and format requests are the most useful messages this site receives, and they do get acted on.
Write to [email protected]. This is a one-person project, so replies come from a real person rather than a support queue, though not always immediately.
Reporting a conversion that failed
These are the most useful reports, and a few details make the difference between a fix and a guess:
- The source format and target format — for example HEIC to JPG.
- The approximate file size. Memory limits cause a distinct class of failure.
- The exact error message shown on the card. Errors are written to name the actual problem, so the wording matters.
- Your browser and operating system. Several formats behave differently across browsers — HEIC and audio codecs especially.
Please do not attach the file itself. It is rarely necessary, and sending a document to a stranger to debug a privacy tool is a poor trade. If the problem genuinely depends on the specific file, a description of how it was produced is usually enough.
Requesting a format
Format requests are welcome. The one constraint is that the conversion has to be possible inside a browser without uploading anything — that rules out video transcoding, but a surprising amount is achievable. Mentioning what you are actually trying to accomplish helps, since there is sometimes a route that already exists.
Privacy questions
Questions about data handling, advertising or cookies can go to the same address. The privacy policy covers most of it in detail, including how to verify the no-upload claim yourself rather than taking it on trust.
Corrections
If something in a guide is wrong, outdated or misleading, please say so. Technical details change — browser support in particular — and a correction is more valuable than a compliment.
